W dniach 8-11 października 2020 roku w Gdańsku w hali sportowej Miejskiego Klubu Sportowego „Atleta”, zostały rozegrane Mistrzostwa Polski do lat 20 w podnoszeniu ciężarów. Nasi zawodnicy bardzo ciężko walczyli, zdobywając wysokie lokaty.
Na najwyższym podium ze złotym medalem na piersi stanął Karol Maksymowicz. W kategorii wagowej 55 kg Karol okazał się bezkonkurencyjny. W dwuboju uzyskał wynik 187 kg (85kg w rwaniu i 102 kg podrzut).
Drugi mistrzowski tytuł zdobył Szymon Trytek, który uzyskał najlepsze wyniki w kategorii wagowej 109 kg. W dwuboju uzyskała 265 kg (rwanie 120 kg + 145 kg podrzut), co pozwoliło stanąć mu na podium z numerem jeden i zdobyć drugi złoty medal dla Klubu.
Również na podium, jednak na stopniu z numerem dwa stanął Dominik Joniec. W kategorii wagowej +109 kg. Zawodnik zakończył swój start w Mistrzostwach z dorobkiem 296 kg (rwanie 135 kg + podrzut 161 kg) zdobywając srebrny medal.
Klub podczas zawodów był reprezentowany również przez Elżbietę Sałamachę, która zajęła piąte miejsce w kategorii wagowej +87 kg oraz przez Maksymiliana Dorn, któremu udało się wywalczyć ósme miejsce w kategorii wagowej 89 kg.
W klasyfikacji klubowej Klub Sportowy „Agros” Zamość zajął 3 miejsce.
Trenerom Andrzejowi Gawłowi Krzysztofowi Niemczukowi oraz zawodnikom gratulujemy osiągnięć i miejsc medalowych. Życzymy dalszych sukcesów.
